Visiting Steward Community Woodland.

While you can stay informed about how the project is progressing by visiting this website or reading our newsletters, the best way to experience anything is first hand.

Woodland Walk

You are welcome to come and enjoy the woodland walk with your friends or family but remember that this wood is our home and please respect our privacy. The settlement area (see map) is not part of the woodland walk. Please contact us first by telephone or email before coming to visit the community itself.

Project Tours

Visitors are welcome to the project and we enjoy the opportunity of talking about what we are doing, showing people round and sharing our experiences. A tour usually takes a couple of hours and we welcome donations to the project for these.

If you are a school, college or university and wish to visit the project please contact Merlin on 07817 391149 to arrange this. We are also available to visit you to give a talk and slide show, which can be designed to your needs.

WWOOFing

We are WWOOF hosts. You are invited to take the opportunity to live and learn with us as we manage the woodland, grow food, prepare firewood and do all the hundreds of other things we do to live as sustainably as we can up here.

Courses

Another way of visiting the woods is to come on one of our courses.

Please contact us if you wish to visit
