Replanting 2025
The tree felling in the area near the Wray Valley Trail is not complete. We are restocking the felled area (one hectare) with tree planting and encouraging the natural regeneration of trees that are already coming up. We will focus mostly on oak and hazel, and our restocking agreement includes beech and holly as there are already seedlings coming up of these species (they cope well with growing in low light levels unlike most other trees).
We will be running volunteer days to plant trees and put protection around existing seedlings early this year, please join our mailing list if you want to help out with that

We will also be putting a new permissive path through the lower woods and the replanting area in 2025 to enable people to wander through the woods and loop back onto the Trail further up.
