Aaron loved to be around the site while the timber frame was being built - we couldn't always let him because he needed such close supervision. But he fitted in when he was there!

To protect the foundation posts from future waterlogging, a trench was dug at the top of the site and filled with a drainage pipe and rocks. A hole was dug for each post and backfilled with stony soil and rocks

Ground posts are of reclaimed oak. These amazing WWOOFers helped to dig the post holes and backfill with soil and rocks. Thanks guys!
