WWOOFing at Steward Community Woodland

As a wwoofer at Steward Wood you get 3 organic meals a day on weekdays, food and facilities to feed yourselves at weekends, accomodation in our visitors' bender, kitchen sleeping platform or in your tent; you learn about and experience low impact woodland community living, and enjoy this amazing 32 acre wood. There may be evenings of campfire music and other events, and you get the weekends off to explore the woods or other local attractions (we are in the Dartmoor National Park and 1 mile from the small town of Moretonhampstead).

As hosts we get your energy and enthusiasm between 9.30am and 5.30 (minus 2 hour lunch break) monday to friday to help us with whatever needs doing in the woods, such as working in our food growing areas, laurel scrub clearance, tree felling, gardening, structure maintenance, helping us carry things up the hill, food preparation, firewood splitting and stacking, other woodland management tasks etc.

If you would like to come and wwoof, phone us up to book this - 01647 440233 or 0845 458 1926 (email takes a lot longer for us to reply to, and we'll just tell you to phone anyway, as our wwoof booker doesn't read the emails).
