This map includes all the details shown on the maps provided below plus contour lines, grid references, field boundaries and some of the surrounding properties. Additionally it shows the location of the settlement zone and some interesting features of the woodland.

Woodland walk, tracks, paths and trails

When we bought the woodland it was already covered by forestry tracks. Since then we have formed new paths and opened new trails as part of the public woodland walk. The Settlement Area is not part of the woodland walk and neither is the Low Intervention Zone.

Trees and Management Zones

This map shows the predominate species of trees in the different parts of the wood. These zones (some of them named) correspond to specific management strategies in our woodland management plan. Field boundries and forestry tracks are also shown.

Water and other features

The results of twelve months living here during some of the wettest weather on record has provided us with loads of information about the water on site. This map shows some of the main water features (most of them are seasonal to some degree), field boundries and contour lines.
