The debut album from Steward Community Woodland dweller Peter Cow.
| Last year I finally created an opportunity to record some of the songs
i have been writing and singing for the last 5 years. I got involved
in the Permaculture Musicians Group, and offered a song for the upcoming
compilation CD (Earth Stars). Aranya,
the CD coordinator, invited me down to his place to record some songs.
I recorded 'Grassroots Sustainable Futures' for the compilation, and
then recorded 8 other songs, thinking of maybe making an album. Stickered
Guitar is that album, a raw vocal/guitar mix of self-penned songs from
my days protesting and exploring sustainable living. Most of the songs
were recorded live, and a few have extra harmonies and things added
in.
The songs on the album are: Grassroots Sustainable Futures, Living in a Bender, Szeged, Silver Birch Tree, London Town, Calstock 14-3-99, Lyminge Forest Victory Song, and We Will Survive. The CD also contains a few music videos, some of the SCW website, some campaigning videos and lots of photos of the woods.

"Pete Cow is perhaps my personal favourite – “here’s to grass roots sustainable practical futures, yeah!” – sing it with kids, yours or anyone else’s, as well as friends and family – just sing it – it’s the spirit of permaculture."
