Affinity - Out and About

Affinity Woodland Workers Cooperative Ltd. was setup to encourage and enable environmental awareness and solutions by providing examples of sustainable land use. We are keen to encourage local interest and involvement.

As well as inviting people to visit the woodland, to see what we we are doing, and to learn about sustainable woodland management, renewable energy, composting etc., we have also been taking part in local public events.

We have provided information, demonstrated the use of the pole lathe and shaving horse, done papermaking and rag rug workshops. Additionally we have provided cycle powered educational entertainment - music, slide shows, videos and Internet access .

We have also been invited by several schools to give demonstrations and talks to children about environmental issues and sustainable land use, woodland management and traditional crafts etc.

If you are organsing an event, or arranging educational activities, demonstrations or talks for children etc., and think we may be able to help, please contact us.
